Terms, Conditions & Warranty

1. About Us

1.1 These Terms and Conditions were last updated July 2025.

1.2 Midlands Dual Control Fitters is a fully mobile He-Man dual control fitting and removal service operating nationwide, including Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, London, and surrounding areas.

2. Dual Controls

2.1 Quotes

Any quote given to supply and/or fit dual controls is valid for 6 weeks. We reserve the right to revise a quote with prior notice should our supplier update their pricing.

2.2 Deposits

A deposit is required to secure your booking. Deposits are non-refundable if you change your mind; however, should you need to rearrange, we ask for at least 3 full working days’ notice. We allow up to two rescheduling requests per booking. In the unlikely event that we are unable to obtain the required dual controls, your deposit will be refunded in full.

2.3 We Come to You

Midlands Dual Control Fitters is a fully mobile service. We travel to your chosen location — whether that’s your home, workplace, or another convenient address — to carry out the fitting or removal.

2.4 He-Man Dual Controls

We fit He-Man dual controls, which are purpose-designed and engineered for your specific vehicle. In most cases, fitting will require carpets and/or sound insulation to be cut or adjusted in line with He-Man’s fitting instructions. Some interior trim may need to be temporarily removed; where this is the case, we will return all removed pieces to you for safekeeping.

If you are having dual controls fitted to a vehicle that is not used as a driving school car, we recommend notifying your insurance provider before the fitting takes place.

2.5 Payments

We accept cash, debit card, and credit card payments.

2.6 Cancellations

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your slot to another customer. We appreciate as much notice as possible.

2.7 Weather

As a mobile service, we may occasionally need to postpone an appointment in the event of severe weather warnings. Equally, you have the right to rearrange your appointment if a weather warning is in place on the day of your booking.

2.8 Vehicle Manufacturer Changes

Occasionally, vehicle manufacturers make changes to their models that can affect how dual controls fit — sometimes with no advance notice. If such a change were to prevent a fitting from being completed, this would be outside of our control. In this situation, there would be no charge and any deposit paid would be refunded in full.


3. Guarantee & Warranty

3.1 Lifetime Guarantee on Fitting

All He-Man dual controls supplied and fitted by Midlands Dual Control Fitters come with our lifetime guarantee on all fitting work. This covers the installation for as long as you own the vehicle in which the dual controls were originally fitted.

3.2 Manufacturer’s Warranty on Cables

He-Man cables are covered by a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. Cables are wear and tear components and may naturally require replacement over time with regular use; this is entirely normal. Should cables need replacing within the warranty period, please contact us and we will arrange a visit at your convenience.

3.3 Conditions of Guarantee & Warranty

Our lifetime guarantee and manufacturer’s warranty are subject to the following conditions:

  • The dual controls must remain fitted to the original vehicle they were installed in
  • The guarantee and warranty apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable
  • Coverage is limited to parts and fitting only
  • Pedal rubbers are excluded

3.4 Making a Claim

In the unlikely event you need to make a guarantee or warranty claim, simply get in touch via WhatsApp, call, or email and we will arrange to visit you at a time that suits you.
